Our Story.......
Community Partners began in 1998 at my kitchen table on our family farm
in rural South Georgia. My background was in city management and economic
development since graduation from college in 1988. In my work as a City
Manager and then as an Economic Development (Chamber of Commerce) Director,
I was away frequently for night meetings and a great deal of travel. I
certainly didn't want to miss one tennis match or baseball game to attend a
Zoning or City Council meeting, so I left a full-time position to begin a
grant-writing business. When I was asked to contract with a local community
collaborative to serve as their Interim Director, I realized the need for
evaluation services to be more readily available here in South Georgia. I
reached out to two professionals in this area, Dr. Jeff Gibbs and Dr. Amy
Willis, and we began partnering to serve clients with evaluation services,
survey design and database development. Since 1998, we have worked for
more than 20 clients in the areas of non-profit, community collaborative,
local government, social services, law enforcement and small business.
We would like to work with you as a partner in improving the lives of
children and families in your community.

can not be your top priority. We want to help you by minimizing the time you
spend on evaluation while maximizing the results you obtain in the process.
We will always work with your schedule and be understanding of the everyday
pressures of running programs, managing people and requesting data from
various sources.

Laura Beth Tucker currently serves as President of the Southern Georgia
Evaluation Association where each of the partners are very involved.
Dr. Willis presented a workshop called Assessment and Planning
Resources at the Southern Georgia Evaluation Association Annual
Conference in January 2008.
Laura Beth is also a member of the American
Evaluation Association and attended their National Convention in Baltimore,
Maryland in November 2007.
......Education
Laura Beth Tucker holds a Masters in Business Administration from Albany
State University, Bachelor Degrees in both of Business Management and
Marketing from Valdosta State University (Magna Cum Laude) and Associate
Degree in Business from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (Distinguished
Honors).
Dr. Jeff D. Gibbs graduated from the University of Georgia with a
Doctorate in Education majoring in Business Education. His MBA and
undergraduate work concentrated on Economics.
Dr. Amy P. Willis has a Doctorate in Education in Adult and Career
Education from Valdosta State University. She holds an MBA in Business
Management from Albany State University and has both Bachelor and Associates
Degrees in Computer Science.
